CADIS strengthens support for seafaring families as Captain of Industry partner

Sailors’ Children’s Society is delighted to welcome CADIS as their latest Captain of Industry partner, cementing a relationship that has already brought some very special moments to seafaring families across the South West.

The partnership began at Christmas last year, when CADIS generously stepped in to purchase Christmas presents for families supported by the Society in the South, helping to make the festive period that little bit brighter for children and families experiencing challenging circumstances.

Since then, the relationship has continued to grow. During the Easter half-term, Andrew and the CADIS team organised a fantastic Easter event for local families, complete with Easter egg hunts, plenty of chocolate and even a magician to entertain the children.

Now, by becoming a Captain of Industry partner, CADIS is making a longer-term commitment to the Sailors’ Children’s Society and the seafaring families it supports.

Lee Pearson, Partnerships Manager at the Sailors’ Children’s Society, said:

“Our relationship with Andrew and the CADIS team is a brilliant example of how a corporate partnership can grow from a simple act of kindness into something much bigger.

“It started with CADIS wanting to make Christmas special for some of our families in the South, but their support certainly didn’t stop there. The Easter event they organised was fantastic and gave our families the opportunity to come together, have fun and create some really happy memories.

“We’re incredibly grateful that CADIS has now chosen to become a Captain of Industry partner. It solidifies their commitment to our families for the future, and we’re really excited about what we can achieve together – there is lots more to come.”

Andrew, CEO of CADIS, said:

“We are incredibly proud to be recognised for our ongoing support of the Sailors’ Children’s Society. Ensuring that the children of mariners receive the essential care and opportunities they deserve is a cause close to our hearts, and this recognition only strengthens our commitment to making a meaningful difference in their lives.”

The Captain of Industry partnership is part of Sailors’ Children’s Society’s growing programme of corporate partnerships, bringing businesses from across the maritime sector and beyond together to help provide financial and emotional support to seafaring families facing crisis.

With CADIS now formally joining the programme, the Society is looking forward to building on everything the partnership has already achieved and creating even more opportunities and memorable experiences for families in the months and years ahead.
