Gift in your Will

Our Child Support Scheme receives no government funding and depends totally on generous donations and legacies to keep it running. Throughout the charity’s history, we have always been fortunate enough to have benefited from people’s generosity and from their legacies and therefore, have been able to continue supporting needy seafarer’s children in their own homes. Will you help with a legacy gift in your Will?

The best way of setting up a legacy is to leave a share of your estate to the Sailors’ Children’s Society in your Will. This is known as a Residuary Legacy. Leaving a percentage of the residue also means you may not necessarily have to change your Will if your personal circumstances change. Your solicitor will be able to draw up your Will exactly as you want as you may decide to leave a specific amount or an item.

Once you have set up the Will, you may feel that you would like to notify us about your gift. It would help significantly with our future planning and also lets us know that we do not need to contact you again about legacies.

Please click on the Contact Us page if you have any further questions about legacies.
